X-500 Robot Arm - designed and constructed by David Buckley
further information e-mail

In 1988 I started work on a robot arm for Concorde Robotic who sold the Armdroid arm, formerly made by Colne Robotics. The X-500 was to be a top of the range desktop robot arm and was designed to have a 2Kg payload at 500mm reach. However some way into the project Concorde Robotic went into liquidation. I never got paid but kept the half finished prototype robot arm.

The pictures are not very good but they are all I have at the moment and since the arm is on loan (still unfinished) I am unable to take more.

Both pictures show the arm mounted on the mobile base Victoria.
